Because there are so many on here that know so much about so many things I think that this is the best place to ask.

Where can a guy get a Ferris Wheel Seat???? I need an older one, not necessarily a wooden one, that would be too pricey.

I wanna make a lawn swing out of it for my back yard. Anybody got any Ideas??

I think most "county fair" type carnival things are owned by larger companies, so I'd imagine that they'd have tons of these sitting around somewhere... but I have no idea who they are or how to contact them [IMG]

Maybe just get a good photo of what you like, and build it!!! Got to be easier than buildin a Hot Rod!!!...OLDBEET

  4. Try M.Schettl Freight Sales over by Oshkosh (somewhere West of 41). They have EVERYTHING... They even have Jake and Elwood Blues in fiberglass...

    Otherwise...

    Bernie's Auto Center

    Cool freakin' idea!!!

  5. Salvage yards. Like the ones that sell obsolete plumbing fixtures, cabinets etc. That's where my sis found her Merry Go Round horse.

Thanks Abe, used your link and found the only remaining US Manufacturer of Ferris Wheels. Eli Bridge Co. in Jacksonville Ill. They had a few old ones left and I got this one for use as a yard swing.

Maybe the extra weight in Clarance is what caused Atch's rear end to go out. He picked it up for me and got it to South Chicago. Another Bud got it to the northern suburbs on Sat and I went down to get it this morning. Gonna make it look something like this but Maggie want's flames and an Eyeball. Thanks for this link JYD32. He sure is proud of these, should be able to do mine for about 1/5 the price.

That thing is cool, I'd run it in a homemade roadster, not too far fetched as there are people running mailboxes, beer bottles, giant skulls, knives, genades, wrenches all over rods that simply don't do it for me. But that will make for a damn cool yard swing.

I'll have to get over there again to scope out all the cool yard art. [IMG]
