History o/t oklahoma is burning ,cars are toast

More like bastards. There are quite a few out there, from all walks of life.

There is a wrecker service and an old junk yard at the starting point of the fire. The MWC Fire Marshal says that the fire was "deliberately set", which does NOT necessarily mean "intentionally set with malice" - arson (his words!). The thought right now is that some teens were hanging around an abandoned RV in the yard (there is very little there, BTW), and started a fire that obviously got way out of control. They are trying to find these kids and find out what exactly they were doing and why. They are currently treating it as a criminal investigation.

Whether is was really arson or not doesn't matter if you got burned out, but it does matter in the eyes of the law.

 

Just heard - The cops have two teenagers in custody concerning the fires in Midwest City and Choctaw! Two others are being sought. From the sounds of things, they set a fire and it got way out of control instantly - go figure, with 50 mph winds, right? - so it's still not clear whether the fire was set maliciously or not, because the charges they'll face will differ, depending on what their intent was.

Hopefully, whatever charges they face, the punishment will be the maximum possible! Had someone died, they'd have faced manslaughter, as a minimum.
