O.T. Product Liability Questions: Hot Rod Product

I'm not sure what's worse....lawsuits or the *fear* of lawsuits....talk about stifling innovation...I've never heard of anybody going after an aftermarket gas tank/fuel cell/whatever manufacturer, except maybe when someone like Dale Earnhardt gets it....of course that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. I think they look pretty cool, but if your gut tells you not to, then there's yer answer.

Or just have a Limited Edition run of however many you've already produced

How about, LLC..#1... To manufacture (with disclaimer), then who wholesales to LLC...#2.. which retail sales product (with disclaimer). This can give another layer of distance and if one company were ever to be sued it would not completely shut you down, you still can run off the other LLC.

28rpu - we actually brought it up at a meeting where all the employees should try and buy it. It'll never happen though. The sad thing is that part of me just wants to let go and start something new.

Johnny - I've been trying to find a lawyer that will give me the answers I need but haven't found one yet. Still searching.

Interesting idea Snapper! I actually have to sell all the tanks and parts to my LLC to seperate myself in that respect. Without doing that they can come after me.

It does really **** that this is the wfreakin way we have to live and think these days. It really does stifle innovation. What future does our kids and country have?
