Sorry for the O/T, but i know there's a lot of guys here who know a lot more than me about computers - I'm looking for some type of simple program that will let me alter a drawing - probably something like the photoshop thing some of you guys do, but not necessarily that complicated and CHEAP or better yet free. I'm doing some modifications to a set of floor plans for a house I'm hoping to build and right now I'm whiting stuff out and drawing it in and then re-scanning it. Any ideas? Thanx

If you have windows (98,200,XP) on your computer, you can do what you're talking about with your 'paint' program. It's all I use, that and a simple program that came with my old digital camera!

Once you have your image scanned in, go to 'paint'. Then click on 'file' in the upper left hand corner, then click 'open'. Find the image you just scanned and open it to the paint program. You can then erase, draw, cut, edit, etc and save your changes as often as you like!

Click on 'start' down at the lower left corner of your screen, then wait for the menu to pop up.

Then, click "all programs", then look at the list for "Accessories" and click that.

    "Paint" will be under Accessories.

Left click on the "satrt" box on the bottom left corner.
Scroll up to "search",then select "for files or folders"
Then enter "paint" in the search box and hit the "search now" button.
In the results, look for one that says "create short cut" or similar.
Click on it to create the MS Paint Icon on the desk top.
