Just saw the VIBRATORS kick of there US tour last night at a small bar in Huntington Beach. Great show. The opening bands were ok (Exploding Fuck Dolls) but the Vibrators ripped. I think they are playin Vegas soon.

    Exactly what I was wondering...

The last I heard from them (with the Godoy's still) was on a Disaster Records comp DP put out a few years ago. Anyone know who's in the band now?

They made a 7" on PINK ViNYL with 4 songs as exploding fuck dolls,,,
    That was a first pressing..........

it's very very rare,, I think it came out on "ViNYL DOG(tm) records around 92 or 93.....
it was limited on pink vINYL, to 20-30 copies, and the other 170 copies were on black wax as a second pressing,,, so 200 copies total.....

VINYL DOG was MIKE LORHRMANS record label,, ex pro skater "POOL SHARKS" gang and also SINGER for the STITCHES,,,,

Don't have the 7", but they had a track (or 2?) on the "Old Scars and Upstarts" comp that I assume was a re-release. Absolute rulers.

That is why they were just OK. Not sure who the new singer is. the brothers are still in the band and they did rule. I juSt couldn't get into the new front man. Peters was in the audience.

back when he was playing guitar in BL'AST!...!!!

    Awesome shit...

the Vibrators are playing here in S.C.(Aptos) on Oct. 17th...
no Exploding Fuck Dolls on the lineup though...

theres a show coming called the BRITISH INVASION which should be really neat, I hope the ANGELIC UPSTARTS play... Kinda like an AMERICAN VERSION of HOLIDAYS IN THE SUN,,,

with the 57 RANCHERO on the road mission.......

I been listening to alot of WEIRD STRAIGHT EDGE and early HARDCORE..? Lately, I went through the albums I think cause I was thinking about NADS old band......
    I love NADS..
I would give my left ball to play in a band or be good enough to be in his band!

OLD HARDCORE thats been moving the shop..

    #0 S.O.A. ( rollins first band)
    #1 UNITY
#2 UNIFORM CHOICE (probably one of the GREATEST)

#3 AGNOSTIC FRONT...The song (CRUCIFIED) reminds me of seeing AGNOSTIC FRONT in TEXAS as a KID,(fucking skinheads everywhere) and I was BEING SCARED to talk to my HERO ROGER MIRET.....
    maybe around 88'?

#4 NEGATIVE APPROACH (anything they recorded)
    #5 REFUSED (a new band)
#6 ECONOCHRIST (probably one of the best bands to ever come out of the east bay)
    #7CAUSE FOR ALARM
#8 Sick Of It All, (the first 7") on revolation records

#9 all the OLD PORTLAND OREGON (crust PUNK)
    RESIST, DEPRIVED. UNAMUSED. DEFIANCE. MANKIND?....
even a LITTLE "MORAL CRUX" for good measures.....
    ETC ETC ETC

#10 cleaning up the shop tonight, was RANCID, this is an audio BOOTLEG I recorded while on tour and it was LARS first show he ever played with them.....

    added some old NARDCORE today
    VICTIMS FAMILY
    ILL REPUTE
    SCHLONG.....

RIGHT NOW though my TOP FIVE FAVORITE RELEASES in the shop are going to be.......

#1 ANDY G and the ROLLER KINGS (this is DEVIL DOGS) new band
    #2 The DIAL TONES
#3 HAROLD RAY ....LIVE IN CONCERT (Hamb BAND, that PEGS the SONICS ALMOST better then the ACTUAL SONICS)

#4 Bootleg of ANGELIC UPSTARTS (folk songs)

#5 HANK WILLIAMS (studio sessions), the LAST recordings before he bought the farm, the darkest shit,, ALONE and FORSAKEN

    I love MUSIC..

SO-CAL,,, needs to worship SMOGTOWN and the SMUT PEDDLERS,
JIMMY WHITE is teaching JULIA the drummer how to weld, and JULIA is reporting back to me...

    HAHAHAHHA

    Germ-

Check out the Hank Williams album "alone with his guitar" It is one of the best. Most of the songs were recorded in his cabin on a portable reel to reel. Very huanting and very intense at times.
    check it out...

  25. Since the HAMB is on the topic, a friend of mine is in the process of finshing a comp of all of the Controllers stuff including a little booklet to go with the cd's. Should be out towards the end of the year. Also was flipping last night and saw the the jimmy kimel show with the Sex Pistols and Mr Rotten had to use a note book to sing EMI pretty sad.
They looked like a bunch of old fat guys trying to be coool for their grand kids.

I remember going to buy The Vibrators 45 "Judy Says" in 1978. I still have it, I love the fucker, the sax solo is the shit. We used to fuck with the guy that would get Punk Rock records in our town. We'd ask for releases that didn't exist, like "the new one from 'Tampon Pastry' or if he knew what label 'The Geriatric Hill Runners' were on?'
He'd always tell us to come back next week because the records were at the depot. They still had listening booths in that place. I bought my dad a 'Laurel and Hardy' single called 'The Trail of the Lonesome Pine' there.

I'll second germ in that I love music.

Tuvanese Throat Warbling is my favorite.

Funny Shit Germ. Roger from the Smutt Peddlers is friend of mine and I went to High School with the Dubars from Uniform Choice. Bein an ol married guy I don't get to shows that often. I prefer smaller local shows. The Vibrators show was at a little Irish Pub in Huntington Beach called Fitzgeralds. The old promoter from Club Mesa is there, bringin sum good SHIT! Next time u come to Socal hit me up 1st, I'll see if there is anyone playin.
