My brothers friend was involved in a t-bone-type crash and his toyota suffered severe damage. Thankfully, he wasn't harmed in the crash. We estimate that the car/ truck that hit him was going about 40-50mph. i know this isn't you guys' style of car/ truck/ whatever, but, i was wondering if you guys could give me an estimate on a fair price for repair.

sorry for the crappy pics, i'll hopefully snap some myself to give you guys a more detailed look at the damage.

From what i saw the frame only looked to have dents in it, no cracking or bending, the suspension looked fine, but i was thinking since he spun out when he was hit that he may need to have the front-end re-aligned.

There wasn't any interior damage that i could see. However, the airbags did come out and need replacing.

    Thanks for your help!!!

    Troy.

I can't answer your question, but I have one - what ever happened to the old lady you were going to save in the northwest? Last I heard you were organizing a rescue for all that old iron. If I missed the followup, could you point me to it?

    Thanks...

I'd guess north of $3k, and that'd be using used parts. hard to tell without a price book and local labor rates. Most body shops give free estimates hoping for your business.

I'd say at least that. If the airbags blew, then you can guarantee there's some frame damage. It may not look like it, but I'll bet you a shiney new nickel it's there. If this thing was insured, it's probably totalled. I can't see that truck being worth much more than 3 or 4K, and I'm betting the damage is at least that much.

had to think awhile before i understood you...

i never really got anything done with that, i guess i had wanted to help in some way (buying was not an option though) but it got lost, and, i'll just say it, i was too lazy to do anything about it.

if you'd like to get in contact, i will see if i can't dig-up the phone-numbers i was sent...

    later...

p.s. thanks for the estimates, guys!!!

I think the next post on this thread should be the one explaining what this has to do with traditional rods and customs. Where are the moderators when something needs to be moderated?

That thing is probably going to be a total.(mileage, options and condition will be a factor also) Air bags are expensive to repalce and frame rack time isn't cheap either, probably $3500- $4000+ worth of damage. I would go get a few estimates and go from there.
