nosurf - id imagine if there is a camera on the beach, its probably a pretty popular spot. more secluded areas, youll have to contend with locals
OK,you guys know you're not allowed to talk about surfing without showing some pictures of woody wagons, right?
Looks like Waimea to me... Where is Mavericks exactly. I've been away too many years. Always loved the sound of the language too. Polynesian words like: "Mewannadrinkasomeprimoandgrabawahinni"

[/ QUOTE ] mavericks is in halfmoon bay off hwy1, and about 45min south of san francisco. 30+ sets, but only during the winter... use to cruise out there when i was a younger and watch the nuttbags surf it... grew up 20 min north of it

was out at Mavs the day before mark foo died there. Not surfing just watching god that place is eerie
I checked out the Movie Step Into Liquid the other week on the big screen..... one word WOW the quality of the film and the things and places etc..... very cool. Talk about crowds, we look at a crowded day here and its still nothing to the Cali hot spots.
I went on a 10 day surf trip to Costa Rica in November. Awesome! Witche's Rock and Ollies are to die for. Still bummed about the p***ing of Jay Moriarity, but will get to Mavs one day to see it for myself. From land of course.
Used to go to the races at Half Moon Bay when I was a kid. Never knew the surf was that big there. Went back there from the 50th roadster show at the Cow Palace. Took us hours to hop over the hill and down into half moon bay just to see where the old strip was. I could have walked it faster than that traffic. Turned out there was a surfing compe***ion going on there.
