I just saw an online advertisement for something called the "slingbox". The advertisement said "Now theres something even more dangerous than just talking on your phone in the car" and showed someone watching a baseball game while driving. The company is endorsing piloting 2 tons of steel, while watching tv. While they used the word dangerous, the ad clearly glorified it. I feel that when someone gets killed by a distracted driver who is using this product, the company should also be held responsible. I'm not one to be litigious, but when a company advertises and promotes something so irresponisble, they are at fault even if they weren't behind the wheel. Shut up and drive people. And even if you aren't driving, just shut up.
I think I would have to agree with you on this one. I am of a mind that when your'e driving that is what you should be doing. If you want to talk on the phone get off the road. If you want to watch the game use your recliner or couch and get comfortable to do so. Gumpa
I agree as well. I have been "nudged" onto the shoulder of the freeway and as passing the idiot was given that "what the hell are you doing passing me on the shoulder?" you know they are probably talking about some idiot in an old car that was speeding past them on the shoulder. is it too much to ask to pay attention? it is free!
