Ocala down through Inverness and Crystal River, Hernando, etc. Relocating there soon (right off 200 in Hernando) and trying to preposition myself in a job. 30 plus years in auto parts, heavy trucks, warehouse and shipping/recieving. Leads are welcomed!
Check check out E-One. They build fire trucks, Ambulances etc. Large employer that may match your background. Also, NPD is located there. Love that area. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I spent considerable time in the Crystal River area working at the Nuclear power plant there. I really enjoyed my time there. The car culture was to my liking and I met quite a few old car guys as well. The area reminded me of deep in the bayou country of South Louisiana as it was many years ago. I really dont know much about employment options. Several of my traveling nuclear worker friends did buy properties in Crystal River and surrounding communities. The prices were very favorable towards purchasers at the time. I will tell you I went into a barber shop that had a sign in the window that stated, "we specialize in Mullet cuts" its that kind of place.
Not a job but something to do in the area, Especially when everything opens up is Homm***as Spring. Beautiful place https://www.floridastateparks.org/p...chiller-homos***a-springs-wildlife-state-park Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G920A using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
I winter there. Lots of car stuff going on around the area all the time. Crystal River Wendy's every Sat. afternoon-evening. Hernando Burger Station every Fri. night. Sumter Swaps 1st Sunday of the month. Lots of stuff in and around the Villages every month. Brooksville lots of stuff, Leadfoot City car show and swapmeet every month... Leesburg - Eustis area, lots of cruise-ins and car shows. Zephyrhills... You'll be in a good place for car events. Mike Kelly's Cruise News is the best publication on car events in FL. http://www.cruisenewsonline.com/default.html
I second trying E-One Fire trucks in Ocala! Once you work on Fire trucks, you will be hooked! They are like big clean shiny complicated hot rods! Shiny and showy but work for a living. I’ve been there many many times , great people! We bought a lot of fire engines from them! Bones
