  2. I read an article years ago that stated that Winfield had to quit making the "Crows Foot" chamber because he was infringing on patents owned or licensed by Ricardo. The Winfield Supers that I have seen that were made by Bell have the regular Winfield combustion chamber. When Gene Scott first made his Al. "repops" He made some with "Crows Foot" chambers but I haven't see any advertised recently. I have also read that the patterns still exist for the Weiand head but the comment was that they were probably in pretty bad shape and when his widow was approached about a possible run and she said she had no interest in doing that. Might be BS. If I remember correctly this was in an article or letter in S O S S.

I spoke with Phil Weiand's widow back in the early 90's and she told me that if I had called her a few years earlier she maybe could have helped me out, but the patterns for the heads were tossed in the trash. This was over the phone. She was very nice and seemed to enjoy talking about the banger stuff. It reminded me of talking to my grandma...I mean the sweet part. My grandma knew nothing of fast Fords even though my grandpa and his brother bought Rajo 4 valve heads in 1924 of their new roadsters.

    Mr. Daddy-

The Bonneville car is mine and TV's. The head is a race special made by H&H. The cam...If I told you then everyone would know our race secrets, can't have that. I can say this, the cam is ground off of one of Joe Panic's billets. We made our own intake and exhaust and use a single weber carb.

So far, we've ran 112 at Bonneville... unfortunately, we broke the crank. Would you believe, a bad piece of billet was the culprit! The crank guy is making another crank for us.

The carb is a 58 IDA.

Guys, I will tell you the crank came from Velasco's in Downey CAL. He is making a new one for us right now. He is a stand up guy and easy to work with, if you were to order one now you might get a break. Just my thoughts.--TV

Do you mean Henry Velasco? I don't know, maybe he has a kid named Joe, but Velasco's been around for a long time. He doe's RC boats stuff with a family friend, builds cranks for those too. Hank the crank.
