  2. A lot of times it depends on why it was created. Think of the Bat Mobile or the Munster's cars. They were used for a longer-term particular purpose. Some were simply props for a commercial or such and dismantled very soon after. Some were created on the creator's whim for no particular reason and either survived or not.

Some of them get cut up and become something else, like the Lincoln that became the 60’s Batmobile. Others simply get parted and maybe cut up to use their parts on the next show stopper.

That T booth T would have looked good to follow progression and chopped 2/3 of the top off, leaving it 1/3 windshield glass high….

Some alcohol was involved I'm sure.

Quite the impressive shit slinging apparatus on the ass end of that unique creation!
    Everyone's results may vary.
Saw it the Portland swap -meet a few years back.

Make something odd ball enough for the 10 year old to want to see it and get dad to take him to the car show on dad and kid day. I'm pretty sure that that phone booth T was one of those toured by one of the show producers. The spreader on the other hand has a pro fairground look to it.

  10. Fact is, with the proliferation of cell phones, nobody uses phone booths anymore…

Cool thread. There were quite a few weird and wild cars from the 70's show circuit
Be cool to see some of them now

This clown car was for sale at the Portland Swap-meet a few years back.

  13. I think this custom '54 Oldsmobile-Cadillac mash-up qualifies as an oddball if for no other reason than that there doesn't seem to much solid history on the car. It appears very briefly in the sadly, mostly forgotten movie "The Late Show" starring Art Carney and Lily Tomlin.

A few years ago it seemed to be considered a "movie car" but it seems kind of an unlikely build for this particular movie. Maybe it was an existing car that the movie studio pulled out of their storage lot because it didn't look nearly as nice in the movie as it does in these more recent pictures and video.
