Technical Odd ball independent rear end thingy

Light weight, V4 powered, late '40s. Developed to be easily transported by helicopter. Couldn't have weighed much at all no better than helicopters of that era were

 

Looks like a smaller version of the POS M151A1's I drove as an MP in the early 70's

Looks like something Richie Willet would have used in a T modified.

I used to work in a large manufacturing plant and there were probably 100 of those carts running around, got to know the in-house truck repair guys and they were mainly running 9' ford rear axles, short width. Dont know of a cushman junkyard but its a place to look for already narrowed rearends.

 

I'm glad I don't have to work on that contraption!
