Odd Rod (Buick) ID...

Anybody know anything about this? Twin-Flathead '50 Buick Special, lengthened front sheetmetal, obviously shortened main body, sectioned. Supposedly ran Bonneville.

Looks like '51 Mercury front sheet metal to me...not Buick!

 

Does it have a hood that goes with it?

It looks as though the Merc fenders were grafted on right after the front wheel well.

No hood, I don't think...why hide the dual flatties?! And it's not mine, just trying to get info for the new potential owner.
