Would the Buick Mini been considered an early ancestor of the Special Saloon?

Wow! Normally I couldn't care for a 1st gen Barracuda with a straight axle, but that is one nicely done piece!

Saw that Blue Cuda at The Syracuse Nationals this year. Stood out to me, don't see them done up with an axle too often. Looks cool! and was Nicely built.

Does any one have a pic of a car like this? It said "Wild Bill" on the side, wild Bill Hutchinson from West Virginia.

He raced in division 3 in the late 70's, early 80's. It was a mid engine set up with a injected big block Pontiac with a clutch flight in it. I helped him at the US nationals one year. JC

I recognise those vehicles from back in the day. The pics are taken at the Saskatoon Int'l Raceway. If I remember correctly the Vette belonged to Rod McMillan who was from North Battleford at the time. I heard through the rumor mill he is living in Edmonton. That car was scary as hell, I don't know if Rod ever managed a full pass or not.

A good friend of mine painted the Beauchemin Ford. It had a 427 FE engine in it. The Beauchemins were into racing big time. Those pictures are from around 1968/69.

^^^This Poncho painted a soft metallic Watson style, a stout stroked 400 tri power so it can pull 2ft wheelies and still run 12's in cross country street trim.
