Projects Offenhauser 5031

Found an offenhauser 5031 manual bellhousing at the market sunday , been looking for one for a while for my
425 buick , as luck would have it , it adapts a toploader ford four speed , I didn't know that when I bought it.
I don't have any chev transmissions , But I do have a 3 speed with electric overdrive and a toploader four speed

 

You should have bought a lottery ticket too!

Yep, that's the Ford '49-64 pattern....

 

Cool. Right from the Offy catalog "Buick 57-64 to 49-64 Ford or 51-64 Mercury transmission"

Building a 33 chev 3 window coupe , all I knew when I bought it was it would fit my nailhead,
Now I am happy that I alreay have a choice of 2 transmissions to fit it .
If I couldn't find the parts to make the buick a stick
my 61 390 HP ford with toploader was going in the 33, still might ??
I don't own any gm stick transmissions !!

 

Same seller just got me the flywheel !!!!
