I buy direct from Offy and I think manpower is one of their problems along with the increasing foundry problems plus just being in California.

  3. I'm in for the dodge 241-270 and I would love another 6 duece cross ram for my 354, someone before me modified mine for dual quads and it runs strong but I would dearly love to spend two grand for six 97's haha

If enough people get interested I would definately be into an of the multiple 2 barrel intakes for 49-62 cad motors.

  5. Part of the problem with getting the old Offy stuff made is that some of their original molds were broken/damaged and they are not going to re-make them. Tay said there is not enough demand to justify re-making the old molds. if they still have the mold, they'll make it for you, you'll just have to wait a while for the foundry to have time to make it. they are incredibly busy and you can wait up to 6 months for stuff. I have had Tay make things from an early 60's catalog for me, not a problem because they kept the mold.

I want 4 in a row for the early Chrysler hemi.....if I can't get some other takers I'll commit to all 6, especially if the cost is kept reasonable. And I still think that a 3x2 intake for the SBF with the 3 bolt or small 4 bolt patterns would be a winner. I feel the same as with the hemi intake, I will commit to all 6 if need be.

  14. I am still interested in 49-62 "Caddy" stuff. Sent Marty at Northwest Speed in Portland a deposit of $150 for the 3x2 "Caddy" intake a couple of years ago, he was to produce them within 6 months, still dont have it, no word on it, have called numerous times, he is always "Out of the shop" but will call as soon as he gets back, since I never get a "Call Back", I ***ume he isnt at the "Shop" anymore. Anyway, I have given up and wrote it off like so many others dealing with him.
Hopefully we might have better luck here.
Thanx for doing what you can, later, Dave

A year or so ago Marty as much as said he was preparing to produce some early Caddy intakes (I had once asked on here about doing a 2x4 )
Exchanged a couple of more e-mails with him, and I suggested that with some minor changes in final machining, the same intake casting could be used for both the Caddy and the Studebaker V-8 engine, greatly increasing the prospective market.
In his last reply, he made it clear that he had abandoned any intention of producing any more early Caddy items because there wasn't enough demand.
At this point I'm not sure as to what would cons***ute sufficient demand.
Watching e-bay, and the number of bids and the prices that any early Caddy speed equipment brings, it certainly appears that the market is there.
I got a 390, and both the 3x2 and 2x4 iron intakes (plus 4 Stude V-8s) and been waiting around for a repop of aluminum Caddy intakes for years.

The pricing on ebay for Dual carb Caddy flathead intakes is INCREDIBLE. The last one I saw went for $2650. FOR JUST THE INTAKE. There is STUPID money out there for these. It is so high I am gonna have to fab my own unless someone builds one. I'm a buyer at $500-$600 which is STILL stupid money, but damn....

looks like plenty of caddy demand to me. I'm a buyer too at the overpriced 500$ range for aluminum intakes. If I knew how to do it I'd start making caddy stuff myself. Seems like a good niche market opportunity for someone. There just isn't anyone I've been able to find making caddy specific stuff for the 49-62 blocks.

I'd like to see a three pot setup for a Olds 350 Rocket, along with some nice finned valve covers to dress it up.

Water crossover with thermostat for use with log manifolds for 303 - 324 Olds would be really great since I can never seem to get ahold of one.

    If it's not too late,put me down for a inline 4x2 DeSoto intake. A 291 or a 330.
    I'll take a 4x2 or a 6x2 log intake if that's all I can get,but I prefer a inline 4x2.

    Also,a staggered 4x2 or a 6x2 log intake for a 348/409 Chevy with the non hi-po heads.

And add me as another 49-62 Cadillac performance parts buyer. So how do us Caddy guys get organized and show our support and buying power to someone who is willing to make some go-fast parts???????? Caddy mills were towards the top of the hot-rodders list back in the day, and the stupid prices out there today confirm their current desireability.
