Glad to hear that Norb got home safe. YES he was wearing gloves so I don't think that MOPAR thing rubbed off on him.

Jim, you and me both, good thing we have 7 month to get our girlish figure back.

    Scott-

What exchange rate are you using to get to 311? Or is that just Canadian math?

    Sorry.310.56889......I rounded up.
I just double checked my math.
You're not scared of a little "289 with 22inches of beer gut" are you...?

I think you better see AJ and get some of those "Acme Super Secret Blower Pulley Kits",cause you're gonna need a lot of "artificial atmosphere" to drive around this old horse this year....[emoji16]

Uh... 311.... Oh yeah... You take a 347 then subtract about 10 percent of the cubes for using your left directional while racing gets you to 311... Makes total sense now

Sheesh....For once I was being serious, and this is the kind of abuse I get...?lol!

Yeah, the Eagle crank turned out to not only need a ton of heavy metal added to it,it also needed a bunch ground off in spots that looked like they were going to seriously compromise the strength near the snout, since that big, heavy balancer spins right out there.

So the crank is in the dumpster, have a real nice set of Eagle H beam rods for sale, and a good friend hooked me up with some custom length rods to work with my pistons and tha 2.87 crank.

    It's gonna zing,that's fo sho!

And I'll be so far ahead,I'll have to leave a sign for you at the return road, cause you're never even gonna be close enough to see my turn signal...;)

Jeff's going to be calling 911 when The Lakeshore Shaker runs away on the Okie Doker....He'll be putting in a call to report stolen dignity (from the severe defeat),and aggravated****ault (from me crushing his hopes and dreams)

Would the car in my Avatar be welcome? Not really a drag car but its fun to drive and I think it would like to drag race.....

  15. Gammz:
This event is the big one that you do not want to miss out on. The cars racing at the Meltdown Drags range from street-driven hot rods and customs to the altereds and dragsters... your Ranchero on those cool black steelies would fit right in.

The criteria for participating racecars is listed at http://meltdowndrags.com/criteria/
All racecars MUST be pre-registered to enter the pits - details can be found at http://meltdowndrags.com/pre-register/ and its even free. This event is put on BY HOT RODDERS, FOR HOT RODDERS.

Its like a time machine took you back to Rockford Dragway... back when it was only a couple years old in 1966

It has a 5.0L out of a mustang backed with a c4. 9" rearend 3.50 gears. Power plant is all stock. Holley 4 barrel. Long tube headers run into some old skool dumps I built. I just finished building and installing some subframe connectors. There is some pics sorry the engine one is so damn dark. Thank you very much. Your too kind!! Just got in on the road late summer/fall. I'll keep everyone posted as to my plans. I'll take the spring to work out any bugs that might arise. It's the middle of winter here right now and she don't like the cold. I would want to drive it. Sent some info to my pop he would love to do something like this.

Dad called last night...... He's holding my feet to the fire on this deal. We are going to give it a shot! I'm hoping my son can make the trip with us too. We have been building the Ranch together over the last year. He is only 16 and is planning to make his living as a welder/fab guy. Wish us luck we are going to need it!!!!

If Bob has some deeper gears and maybe a bit more cam in that thing this year,he is going to be one dangerous hombre.
He's got tons of tire under it,but I think they were so tall, they were killing off too much of his effective gear ratio.
With some deep gears, that car would be a freaking menace.
Until then,it's Festivus for the Rest of Us![emoji16] lol
