I'm building a better engine for the LeMans. The builder is using cp pistons so I know it will be fast.

  4. I don't know who your engine builder is, but I like him already!

  6. Getting closer on the old ford. Got a little more fab work left on the chassis basically front shocks and stuff for the tin to attach to. Then the motor will be out to the engine builder and I will finishing the tin and working on the body and getting it ready for paint.

  11. So tonight, I was talking to Marc on my way home from work (as I do often), and he asks, "hey man, why did you call "Salty", a "food stamp racer"? I said "what, what are you talking about?". He says, "ya, Salty was talking about try to trade or buy some Mopar parts from some other Chrysler guys who didn't want to sell/trade, and you called him a food stamp racer. I think you pissed him off, cuz he made a comment about someone has to keep the track warm, while you signing auto graphs", why'd you do that? (My answer), "that comment wasn't for Salty, it was for the other dudes that didn't want to sell/trade with him..,,not Salty. Lots of people, like Salty, take what they have, or what they can barder, trade for etc, and do the best they can with it, and the results are sometimes beyond expectation. This I have also done, and admire those (like Salty) that can & do likewise. However, there are some, who buy up some of the really cool stuff, only to brag about it, yet never produce anything with it. These are also the same people, who often times will whine about having no money for "trick stuff", but will buy a bunch of used up crap, to produce poor running car at nearly the same cost as buying some good parts. Example, lets spend good money for a dusty box of TRW pistons & high tension rings, instead of spending just a little more $ for modern pistons and rings, that will produce 35hp & 35 lb ft. more, while reducing water/ oil temp, & bore wear. They could have sold, that rare part they've been holding onto forever, that they're never gonna use, and bought something of high quality that they could use, with the money made from the sale of said rare part. Right or wrong, I have used "food stamp racer" as a description for this. They have a means to and end, but instead, they'll spend money on used/old tech parts, the car runs under par, and the excuse is, I have no money for high dollar stuff. Saltflats, you are NOT that guy, nor was my comment meant for you. You are the guy, who will buy & trade until you get your desired part, and improve your performance, while getting the most out of it. I'm sorry if I offended you my friend. Please accept my apology/explanation.

    Ric-

Your growth as a caring and compassionate human being continues to impress me. All of us have been calling you a "ric head" behind your back for the past few days, but we can stop that now.

Side question, anyone have any silver blower restraints that they would part with? I have some black ones, but looking for silver.

No one pissed off here man.
I am honored that the MDA bunch will let me play in there sand box.(with my tea spoon not the big fancy Tonka toys like a lot of you guys have)
I set all my goals as personal ones so I don't let my alligator mouth overload my hummingbird ass but I will take my shot at any of you guys who nos could get lucky.
My enjoyment is flipping the comb around to the fine side and getting every knot and tangle out of what I have to play with.

And if anyone is having more fun than me I want to see that.
So back to the bench racing and Marc you and Ric better talk about how to drive the Ol Child maybe he can get a few pointers from you.

Yep he has decided that it's time to make some horsepower but he needs to step up to the plate and quit using a slush box to transplant the power hell even my dragster has a stickshift

  24. It never dawned on me that my comment could have been taken as a shot at Mr. Saline Solution, until Marc pointed it out. I wanted the Briney One, to know it wasn't.

  25. Last week, I was visiting my great grandmother and she and her girl friends were saying the same thing. One of the old grandmas said, "that weak suck Jeff, needs to man up, get a big boy trans, and side step that bitch like he owns her"!

You don't need blower restraints for a hollowed out blower case to sit on top of the engine. I can't believe you think a blower is going to help you beat your brother. Then again it may help me beat mine. LOL

The only thing I'm gonna fear this year Norb,is whether I have enough brakes to get er "whoa'd" enough to make that left turn onto the return road without ending up in the rhubarb!lol!

THAT is how much faster the car is going to be this year.[emoji41]

Now I just need to FINISH the thing.....Car should be called the "Albatross",not the M___ang.....lol!
