Please, Please, Please...... Droid app. Finally got a good phone, now just need a Hamb app for it. Any chance this might happen?
I think if its going to happen its going to have to be written by a HAMBer, then we'll have to talk Ryan into a Droid to test and approve it. Anyone here know how to write a Droid app? I really don't have time to learn!
Just an FYI although I'm sure you already know. When you take a photo with your iPhone or any other gps enables device there is meta data in the picture that will tell others exactly where you were when you took the picture. So if you take a picture of your 50k hotrod parked in your garage the entire world knows exactly where your prize possession is parked! Just something to be mindfull of....
How about a block of instruction on the removal of such metatags... I am sure your fellow HAMBers would be appreciative... PS, on the way in today...
Freeland i am not sure how to remove them once the picture is taken, but here is a way to prevent this in the future. One way to prevent meta data to be enbeded into the picture is for the iPhone4 go to settings, general, location services and make sure the camera location is off. I'm sure the iPhone3 is similar you just have to play with it. When first buy your phone and go to take your first picture it asks you " do you want the camera to use your current location" most people just click yes not knowing what this means. Beaware that some digital cameras have the same technology ...
Looks like my wish is going to be granted! Verizon just announced the iPhone for early February! It must have been the new HAMB app that sealed the deal with Verizon

When you go to the thread you want to post on, you should see a button with an arrow in it on the upper right corner. Pick that and you'll see a "Reply" button. Pick that and you'll be taken to a text-box where you can type in (or text, which is more fitting). If you're trying to insert a picture, pick "Insert" (in the upper right corner as before) and then "Image" - "Library" (if you already took the picture) or "Camera" (if you want to take a picture to post). Hope I could be of help. This app really rocks! (I need to memorize the other smiley faces code so I'm not stuck with the ear-to-ear grin one.)
Oh, and when you're ready to post your reply, just hit "Send" next to the "Insert button." Almost forgot that one..
By the way.. That Ute is drop dead sexy. I've never really liked Utes, but that one is starting to convert me. Your Ute, perhaps?
