Hey guys. I'm wanting to run a evenly spaced 2x2 intake manifold on a 21 stud motor that has 36 and earlier cylinder heads. I'm not a big fan of the 2x2 with the carb in the center and one in the rear. I feel fuel isn't dispersed evenly to all the cylinders. Did they make a offset bracket for the earlier engines? Also if so does anyone have pictures to share so I can see how it all works?
Yes they did make one. I had one about 20 year ago and I sold it because I didn't know what it was for. The guy that bought it from me told me what it fit. I don't remember what brand it was.
Equal spaced 2x2 on any 32-48 motor get a hexagon tool intake. I use them on my stock 34 engine and my 41 59ab. The carbs are turned around so the generator fits and the carbs are evenly spaced. I've seen HT intakes on epay for around 400.00
I don't know for sure if these are 21 stud mounts but they don't fit my 8BA - the rear 2 holes measure 2.215 center to center, the lower one measures 2.130 center to center (of the center hole). Will either of these work? the Offenhauser one has some of the bottom cut off as you can see in the pictures. The other has no names on it. PM me if one of these is something you need.
