Will a stock generator fit in stock location with Offy 1075 Dual Intake? I have a 1950 Shoebox with 1950 Flathead. I have a Powermaster Alternator (the one that looks like a generator) and wondering if it will fit in stock location or do I need the Powermaster "Shorty"? anyone running this set up? Offy 1075 Intake, dual Stromberg 97's and generator in stock center location on 1949-51 Flattie... I do not have the intake in hand yet obviously...

  2. It will not fit at 12 o'clock, it will need to be mounted off center.

As in the off set bracket? I see the Offy 1075 gen mount is off center as well...

And will the "Shorty" Powermaster fit?

  5. Could not say for sure on the short version. So maybe it will. Stock generator will not fit so go from there. Cast in mount is off set to the driver side so it could also play hell with cooling fan location as well. Why they did this I could not tell you.

Why do you have 2 threads going on the same subject?

    Better question perhaps:
Is anyone running a Offenhauser 1075 Intake with dual Stromberg 97's and a Powermaster in stock generator position?
