Tborisch, Bob's A pickup and Louie Senter's T Offy engines were built by Joe Gemsa many years ago. Unfortunately he p***ed away along with his great knowledge and abilities. I used to sit next to him back in the 80's when my dad and I were involved in vintage sprint cars [WRA] at our monthly meetings at the Burbank bunker. At that time I didn't realize what he had done and who he was. As you know, Offy engines do not have provisions for a starter [except for a remote starter on the crank snout], alternator or generator, flywheel, ring gear and clutch. PM me and I can give you details on what my dad and I used. The most difficult item will be the flywheel - we rough machined a 32lb. flywheel and had Wilcap finish machining the clutch surface and installed the ring gear. I will try to help you the best I can and give suggestions if needed. Offy 220 [Bruce]
