By way of requested introduction, what I am is a shade tree mechanic in the truest sense of the term. Still arguing with my City property committee about whether I can build a garage cause they have some ***inine rule about building vs green space vs total lot size. My current project is a brake upgrade for a good friend of mine Originally he built the ride as a frame off redo about 10-15 years ago and has owned it for almost ever. The ride is a 30 model A pickup and he wants to exchange his current juice brakes for later model self adjusters off a 50 merc panel. (Sorry folks, wasn't able to score the mill before the wreck got drug off for squashing)Supposedly these brakes are a bolt on for war era carsand will fit earlier rides but he also wants to retain his wire wheels. I'll be posting on the what about that possibility in the technical section. Thats pretty much all thats going on right now thats fit to print.
Welcome from the West Coast of Florida. I wish you luck on building the New garage. Each time I hear a story like yours I think of the New Hampshire license plate saying "Live Free or Die I was in the building and remodeling business for years and I understand zoning issues and why they do certain things the way they do them but... Your money paid for the land and you pay taxes on that land and then someone tells you what you can and cannot do with that land and that's the part I have a hard time with. Jimbo
