283 hooked to my merc trans. $50 swap meet adapter. Came with this pilot bushing adapter

this GM flywheel came from a 64-66 c10 with a straight 6. Correct Borg and Beck pattern

55/56 manifolds should clear your steering box

 

The flathead is unstuck lol. And with a little instruction from Tim @51504bat , the starter now works. Engine is cranking good. Pulled the distributor to clean points and bam, one of the breaker points has a broken spring where is the best place to buy this stuff?

 

If you have a good old fashion parts house near you they might have a source. If not, try 3rd Gen since they're close but my choice for flathead stuff I can't source locally is Joe's Antique Auto in Uxbridge, MA

Nope, all of those parts houses are gone around here. Seen a set on Bob drakes sight, but i know Nothing about this stuff. Hate like hell to buy points so that I can find out that the coil is bad lol. Seen the electronic setup, but everything is 2 bolt, mine is 3 bolt, and they're outrageous. I just wanna hear it run lol.

Who needs 2 sets of points? Try it with 1 set where the secondary points would be located.
