  2. That car was the model to my deuce sedan. Tires, dash, and headlights drove me to follow the same road. Love the car, don't care much for the past owner's. I know myself and don't really give a shit........................

That is pretty sweet to hear that a person would stick with one car a re-do it as hot rodding styles evolved. Nowadays, it is build sell and build another. He must have loved his ride. That is freakin cool!

If this is true what a tragic thing to have to sell his loved ride to some tool. I hope he got the $$ he deserved.

I just got finished reading both Threads, and I guess I am really offended. Frank Mack was a really good friend of mine, he was in my car club, and I as well as 3 other members of our club were pallbearers at his funeral, some of you might get a kick out of giving someone some crap here on the HAMB but when you do just try to respect the people that actually deserve respect, Frank was a master body man that started restoring cars back in the 30's, he did restorations for Barny Pollard, Frank souped up a 1902 Covert with a Harley piston and a Indian rod, He participated in a number of Glidden Tours, He built a sleeper 57 Chevy 210 with a 425 Buick Nailhead in it (that engine is owned by someone on this board) long before the word "Sleeper" was used, The quality of Frank's work is evident on his Roadster that is pretty much a permanent feature in the Peterson Museum and yes still in the original finish. I normally stay light hearted in this forum but the thrashing Frank got on here was not deserved or even called for. the fact is I don't care how many cars a man builds, or how good of a builder you think you are, most of us ( including Me) can't stack up to this mans talent.

Not long before Frank died he gave me something very special to me I thought anyone that cares should see, it was his "Circle of Champions" jacket that was given to him in 98 when he was Inducted, If you don't know or care what the Circle of Champions is , thats alright, The people who do will appreciate it. ( By the way the old pictures from the Hot Rods of Dearborn sight came from me)
