    Ah. Sorry. Lack of sleep played a part... then again, I'm also just an ass, so my reply was probably 50/50 of each!

    Car does look fuckin' cool. I can't wait to see it in person.

    Well, today was a very satisfying day. I have a roller.

    I started by mounting the front spring finally. It worked out real well.

    I then fabricated the brackets for the steering box mount.

    I did a couple other things but all in all I am very happy.

    So, I'm not sure my next day back but I will focus on some minor adjustments that I need to make to the rear panhard bar, spacers for the front hairpins, shocks for the rear, redo the upper rear link and bolt this sucker together.

    Stay tuned....

    Thanks B4C!!

    To say that I'm excited is an understatement. I really can't wait to drive it for the first time.

    Shop pic was cool. I liked it.

  10. Is the front spring mount cantilevered off the engine mount crossmember?
    What is behind the spring besides the oil pan? trying to see where all the forces and moments are going.

    Glad to see you back at it.

  11. Some purty welds there, Ron. Lookin' good :cool:

    Thanks for taking a good look at the mount. I have to make one more crossmember because I have to remove the stock front one due to clearance for the fan and radiator. My plan is to incorporate extra bracing to eliminate any potential movement from the cantelevered spring mount. That's next on my list. Glad to be back on it.

    Thanks man. When are you going to grace us with your presence at the Autofair again?

    Thanks Tony. I sure don't have the skills to operate a tig machine. Those are just mig welds. I still need a lot more practice.

    Thanks Tim! Yeah, it's been a bit bitter sweet unloading the Plymouth but the Buick has been sitting in the corner for way too long. Steel in Motion for sure.

    So, a bit of an update. I've been working a lot lately so the car has been sitting for a few weeks.

    What I have accomplished;

    1.) I needed a new master cylinder, purchased a new 1969 Roadrunner dual manual drum set up. With a few adjustments to the push rod, everything works as it's supposed to

    2.) I've been struggling with radiator placement and fan interference. So with a ton of discussions with a close friend, I have decided to place an additional radiator in the trunk with dual electric fans. I will install the original one in it's place in addition to the one in the trunk, I should have zero cooling issues.

    3.) I figured out the steering column. I ran a 3/4" Borgeson from the box straight into the cab. I then used a 3/4" Heim to support the steering shaft. Done.

    4.) Spent time speaking with John Erb and the Paxton will be shipped out tomorrow. He is also supplying me with a custom cam to match the 401 and the supercharger. BIG increase in power.

    Everything is working out well, a bit slow but well.

    More details soon.

    Progress.

    Yesterday, I finished the relocation of the pan hard bar. Raised it level. Zero rear axle steering.

    Today I will fabricate the new rear upper control arm and start on radiator placement.

    Today went well.

    Rear suspension is finally complete. Built a new upper control arm and man, is it beefy! The pan hard bar mount has been fully welded and now is complete. The rear axle is finally centered under the car. I just have to make 2 quick shock mounts for the frame.

    I also installed aluminum grating for exit air from the trunk mounted radiator.

    Here are a few pics from the last 2 weeks;

    Tomorrow is radiator placement and install.
