isnt it wonderful what a kid with a ricer, a bunch of spare time... and a few old wood pallets can do.... for god sakes, spend the time to soften the edges, and use clear grain wood... lol bob
Looks fimiliar, like I've seen it somewhere before.................................................... Yep, I remember now, it belongs to a dude over on SRS!
At first I laugh, then I remember that the Surfers had a home made wooden wing on the front of their fueler in the mid 60's... And they whomped up on everybody!
Is that what you call "long grain rice" !! Sorry, but I had to do it I know, that's his homemade "stealth' kit. Makes the car invisible to radar
Oh I'll buy that!!!!.....Fer freak'in target practice!!!!! What we have here is a failure to comminicate.
I love how the guy won't admit it is his, "I'm selling this for a...a...er...Friend, yeah...a friend." Even HE knows it is ugly. I wonder if BurnDup's had the same body kit before the fire.
All it needs is a flamejob! I have 5 gallons of premium. Anybody have a match?
"WARNING, this car will not be shipped to Atlanta or any humid climate due to swelling problems with the high performance body effects in humid conditions". Do not drive in rain. Do not wash...ever! Do not leave unatended near skateparks. Always keep a hammer and extra nails in the glove box. If you get "board" sitting on your ass, you can drive this car around town, look for some p-nussy, and hopefully get "nailed". i've got more.... HC
the wood is stained so that makes it better and ok in rain. what i dont get is why? the time, money and effort? fiberglass would not be that much more of either.
Hankcash, that's some funny shiznizzy. I done told this tale before but some of you newbies may not have heard it. I was in downtown O-Town one evening wasting time and there was a Datsun 280Z that had ground effects that were obviously made from aluminum siding. So me and my pal are having a good chuckle over this gigantic POS. When all of a sudden this tall black dude asks if we're laughing at this car. And I say 'yes, it's not yours is it?' and he says 'yes it is you assholes.'
He should have went the extra trouble and used woodgrain contact paper on the rest of the car...gotta continue the "theme", you know?
[ QUOTE ] And I say 'yes, it's not yours is it?' and he says 'yes it is you assholes.' [/ QUOTE ] I was pointing out to a friend at a NSRA show about a rather ugly application of Hagen headlight "frenching" kit, and turned around nose to nose with the owner and his furrowed brow, I grinned, he hesitated a half beat, and turnd around and walked back to his lawn chair. At least I don't have to worry that it was anybody here. Threadkiller strikes again!
[ QUOTE ] is that wood??? and they say our cars are crude... [/ QUOTE ] I can see a time in the next half-century when an internet message board is established to carry-on the traditions of the early rice-rocket pioneers, this car just may be the part of their logo... Yeah this car is a POS but you have to hand it to the guy, he had a vision and he's smart enough to realize that it was drug-induced and had nothing to do with good automotive design. He's still stupid enough to think someone would pay cash money for this POS, maybe that's why he's listing all the parts in great detail...
I like the bit about being in sports compact magazines... probably under the heading "Things that look stupid!"
