Technical oil slinger

    did the 1962 chevy 327 use a oil slinger on the crank shaft

    I've never seen one that I can recall...

    I have seen them with, and without. More without than with. Must not be an issue, as none of my SBC's have them.

    The father of a friend of mine had a twin engine boat back in the 60's with SBC engines. The one engine that turned the "wrong way" had a standard rotation crank in it with slingers on it. Took him a long time to figure out why it was pumping oil out.
