that seems like it might be about the dumbestthing i have ever heard of.. i think poluting the environment was what got me into this mess. i dont think that wd40 would get me out of that.

In case no one has suggested it yet.
Automatic diswasher soap (Cascade), it's real high in detergent. Wet the area down, sprinkle some detergent on, use a scrub brush to brush it in (circular motion), let set for awhile to soak, hose it off.

You can also use brake clean. I know it works on concrete, I don't know about asphalt.

I do my part for the environment every day. The more I drive the Jalopy, the less it drips. (on the driveway) anyhow.:D

Like I said before. Kitty Litter, shuffle it real good with grubby shoes, sweep it into the street, oil stains vanish.

in genetics last semester i learned about some modified bacteria that eats oil. I wouldn't have though it would be something you could get hold of easily, but I just found out the other day that the XPress Lube I work at has some.

brakleen and superclean also work great but make sure nobody sees you spraying them on the ground!

When I was a kid growing up in Chicago I would buy this product from
Warshawskys called Oil Dry it came in 5lb bags was tan in color
And granular instructions said sprinkle on oil spot grind a little with your foot
    Sweep stain gone
And one day I realized Damn this stuff is Kitty Litter went to the grocery store
And saved about $3.00 a bag been using it ever since

My vote for Coke, sure works good on cement/concrete, don't know how it would work on asphalt.
