Thinking about switching from a synthetic to a synthetic blend in my flathead. I've heard that that might start eating seals and gaskets. Anyone have any input? Thanks.
You might also want to check out this. BTW, read your intro; glad to see another guy taking in an unwanted valve-in-block. I had an old Ford, and a couple MoPar 6 flatties. The Henry ran like a swiss watch; came out of some guy's back yard. The one MoPile was notable for a constant frightening knock (drove like that for years), and the other had so much blow-by that it'd launch the oil fill/crankcase breather off (I got smart after losing the second cap, and just zip tied scotchbrite over the open tube as a screen)! -bill
