Oil

    Thinking about switching from a synthetic to a synthetic blend in my flathead. I've heard that that might start eating seals and gaskets. Anyone have any input? Thanks.

    BTW, read your intro; glad to see another guy taking in an unwanted valve-in-block.

    I had an old Ford, and a couple MoPar 6 flatties.

    The Henry ran like a swiss watch; came out of some guy's back yard. The one MoPile was notable for a constant frightening knock (drove like that for years), and the other had so much blow-by that it'd launch the oil fill/crankcase breather off (I got smart after losing the second cap, and just zip tied scotchbrite over the open tube as a screen)!
