Technical Ok dumb question. what are the screws called that hold the garnish moldings on a 46 Chevy p.u?

    So the screws in this Chevy pickup are an elongated special machine screw. Not a slot and not a Phillips. What are they called and where do you get the tool to take them out?

    I’d like to see a picture of what you’re talking about, but one odd screw that older Chevy‘s used is called a clutch head almost a bit of a figure 8 shape.

    If it's hourglass shaped it's a clutch head.

    They're clutch head screws. You can get screwdrivers or bits for them online.
