  3. are you building a collection of cars from outer space?

  4. You’re right @Moriarity , the car needs to be found, restored and once again presented to the world. We need to get our best HAMB detectives on the case, paging @ Sancho, and to the front desk.

I have always wondered where it is now. I would like to see The Exodus restored or recovered.

  10. Probably the best restyled '59 Chevy ever.... I've never been a fan of them, but this one is stunning.

  11. Oooh! That thing pushes all the right buttons and excites all the right taste buds.

If it's not found, it sure would be great for someone to build a dedicated replica. That thing is sweet!

I think that its smooth and sleek.... and cool. I hope that it's found, and you can get it. I would even help in the restoration. I would assume that the chassis is basically stock.

I sense that you are now on a quest!

  15. Found this on the internet, no info with it however. Appears to still be in decent condition if the photo is recent.
No info on where it is now.
I always thought it was one of Cushenbery's best.

  17. Who would let that car deteriorate like that?It had such cool styling touches and a great paint job!

  18. The last rumour I can find, reported on the Kustorama facebook page in 2017 (which seems to be the source of all the rumours of it even existing anymore) is that is was cut up and buried.

are you sure they were not talking about the Silhouette ? because that has been the rumor about what had happened to it

  20. would be a shame if that is what happened to it, why on earth would anyone steal a car like that? especially one that is so identifiable.

  21. One big problem with cars from that era is the paints used. Durability seemed to be in inverse proportion to how cool it was... The candies and metalflakes just didn't last well in 'regular' use. The handful that have survived were show/garage queens, not driven or exposed to the sun much if at all. That's still true to a certain extent.

  22. I am sure they named it and had a picture of it so they were definitely talking about the Exodus but who knows the same rumour could float around for any number of cars.

It would seem fitting that you end up with it. No gut wrenching feeling that it would come to its demise being in your hands:) Huge props to the work put into it originally.

something would have to go... will be a tough decision if it happens

  25. Is there anything more as far as evidence than the rumour written on Kustomrama that the car was actually in Fresno?

Couldn't you double deck someplace? I think the boat is under something.
