  1. anybody have a line on the old looking or just plain ole old fire mask?
I am searching for one more as a prop when I ride this around at the shows and vintage drags in Temple.

You can find new and old fire masks on Ebay, racingjunk or other places online. Plan on spending between $300 -$600. I will try and find the new ones online and post the address here later.

  8. yeah, thats what I figured. looks like I may just end up sewing something similar up and hope I can do it justice.
I also need to finish the parachute and pack

how ya drivin the rear of that thing, just a sprocket and chain? why you wanna hide your face when drivin it, to cover the huge smile?

  10. its a belt drive to a jack shaft, the clutch and brake are on the shaft and its chain driven from clutch to limited slip diff. I have it built, just have to go buy the right belt and install. I also need to install the battery, goes in behind the moon tank and the wiring which is done, just needs re-installed after all the paint and powder work last week. Its electric start and should haul major balls.

    Damn I love that !

What you can do is get a cheapo sand blaster hat and fut the holes out for the eyes . That all but look the same and I saw them at the Tractor supple for around $30 or so . Heck I think H/F even has them . Just spay paint the color you want and you are on business ! Make sure you get 2 respirator cups for either side so you don't smell those nasty Nitro fumes !

That would be killer built to full scale. That tub has awesome shape. Kinda like a tricked out touring car.

  20. hahahahaha , plenty have.
seriously nothing better than seeing a little boys eyes light up when he sees it and I let him climb in, as his hands instantly gravitate to the ****erfly wheel and he wraps his fingers around them and just grins so hard....thats plenty awesome to watch.

Oh that is just too *****in! Post some pics on the pedal car and stroller thread please!

How about some shots of the front axle and hair pins? How'd you build them?

Post some pics of the belt drive too. I have a perfect running 18hp V-twin on a worn out riding mower but never considered doing anything with it because it has a vertical shaft.

    What's the rear diff from?

I have a 1/3 scale deuce roadster that I'm making slow progress on, and would like to use some of your great ideas if you don't mind sharing!

  27. no problem, I will do some better front end photos.
the front axles is 3/8 plate that I plasma cut out and then drilled on my mill, then added the top and bottom plate for I-Beam look.

the zoomies are made from 1" electrical conduit and 3/4" conduit.

the belt makes a twist to convert from vertical to the horizontal shaft, the shaft has the centrifugal clutch and the brake band is around the clutch housing.
the rear diff is from northern tool, go-cart limited slip, I took it apart and shortened the axles on the lathe. It was originally built with the riding mower rear, forward and reverse, but the ratio ****ed, direct drive is going to be much better, the motor has tons of torque, it should plant the wheelie bars easily.

I am contemplating building a mini belly tanker, 4 bike rims with moon disc with a single cyl 15 hp w/ a smog pump for a blower, make the whole top hinge open to sit in, dunno yet.

I might be able to come up with an old chute pack for cheap. Unless you plan on really pulling it just pack it with rags, it'll look just as good.

  29. I appreciate that VERY much!! just pm with what ya need me to do. Thanks TONS!!

  30. bump, still hoping to "come across" a safety mask
