Update: I found the receipt and called JPL who I bought the floor mount petal box from. The guy there was cool about it and told me I could exchange what I have for this...

now I need some input... The '38 cab is 'stepped' as in the fool well is further forward than the upper portion of the cowl. As you can see in the pic in #17 in this thread, I don't have a lot of room around the header. If I mount the master/booster up higher on the flat (vertical) segment of the fire wall it looks like the swing petal will be too far back in the cab, almost directly under the dashboard. If anyone has used this type of set up, and has pix of it installed it would be a great help if I could see'em. I know i'm preachin' to the choir here, but I need help to avoid another dumb mistake.

  2. I put a wilwood twin master set up in my 33. the masters fit behind the dash, with plenty of room for the vent to operate. Also have cowl steering. You can't possibly have less room than a 33 P/U It was 250.00 but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet to make things woork.

  3. If Gabino's can't fit you in, try looking up Russ Martin over in Gr*** Valley.

There are setups where you use a pretty small master cylinder to that has a line running to your standard master cylinder, which can be mounted pretty much anywhere.

    Early t-birds used this system:

in the second photo you can see the smaller master on the firewall and the second on the wheelwell w/ the power booster on it. You could probably get a small willwood style single chamber master squeezed under the dash without too much h***le, and put the actual master wherever you can fit it.
