Projects OK, she's back home!

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by 38Chevy4door, Sep 6, 2016.

  1. Alright, got the car back down from Ohio to North Carolina! Even with the new taller tires, I had to jack it up, with the garage jack on a furniture dolly, and a come-along pulling, to get it on the trailer...I should've got a picture, but I was just working my **** off to get everything loaded.

Here she is in the garage...miscellaneous parts are in the garage loft area, and this is with the new tires, and 3" 2x4 spacers to get more height for working on it.

Now, once I get some time and money, it's back to work! 20160906_175911.jpg

Are you going to make it into a traditional custom?

  8. Sorry, off the computer until now.
Thanks for the compliments and the well-wishes, all!
manyolcars..from the outside, yes, think a mid-50s taildragger with skirts, painted a DEEP blackberry with white carson top, '53 caddy Eldorado caps on tall tires, and interior of white tuck and roll with piping. That being said, about the only customizing on the body is I'd like to pull the front fenders down in front, weld the hood together to smooth it up, and smoother taillights...I think I remember liking '39 studebakers...got to hunt that information back down! Finally, and this is why I say outside, because the inside, no, and I know most here will hate it, but I'm keeping the 90s street rodder running gear (L98 350, 700R4 trans, air bags on Heidt's suspension)...I did all that work before I put it away to raise the family, so I'm not inclined to take it apart and do it again, and I'll be driving it with the hood down, so it's not that big a deal! :)
