Stick Shift stopped by my shop yesterday and we got to discusing the HAMB. He commented to me it was his new addition and he was spending a lot of time on the HAMB everyday, if he missed a day he didn't feel right. My thought was "And???"

I must confess. I am here nearly every night from around 7 until after 10. I know I am addicted. I was wondering how long you other guys (and gals) spend on the HAMB, and how often do you "stop by" ? Gene

Just to prove how sick I am.... I leave the "HAMB window" open all day and refresh the page whenever I walk by my computer... I used to hang out at Fordmuscle.com a bunch, but a change in the Admin's attitude, answering the same dumbassed questions about Galaxies a zillion times and too much Mustang shit burned me out.

My full 8 hours at work I have my nose on the HAMB. I have gotten REALLY good at talking to a potential customer, AND making a sale, while reading the HAMB. I usually try to save my HAMB replies till I can commit 100% to my thoughts.

I'm certainly addicted and am picking out a laptop right now so I'm never without the internet during travels. I borrowed my bosses for the Ego-Rama trip and can't believe I've lived this long without one.

    I've got it baaaad:rolleyes:

For the first couple of years I just lurked, so I was off and on. Now that I have started to post, it seems that I'm on here every night untill my eyes roll back in my head. Thank god I don't have a computer at work!

Man I leave it open a lot of the time. I do design work, so I'm always on this damned thing. The hamb is great for when I have to wait for the puter to process a task (I can easily stretch out a 20 second processing time into 20 minutes hamb time) or waiting for an email reply from a client.

    Yeah I'm completely addicted.

I browse the HAMB all day while I am at work, and a little when I get home, and some more before I go to work in the morning.

Probably 30-90 minutes a day on the average. If I'm at work,I don't get much chance, but with the super speed connection can get a lot more threads searched than my dial-up connection at home.

Thank God I'm not the only one that has it on almost all day! There is so much to learn and so many projects to help along to repay for the information I've recieved that that I can't leave. Five days at Hershey without the HAMB was tough, good thing there were live HAMB members to meet.:D

  20. When you are shopping for that new lap top remember wireless is sure a nice feature. I had a lay over in Zurich last week and they have wireless available in their business lounge. I love not having to hunt for a hard network connection, alter protocols and all that crap. It was so eazy. Not even plug in play, just play. Started my computer, hit my link to the HAMB and read posts until my battery was flat. Life is good.

.5 to 1 hour a day, ever since the jocky journal came on line i spend most of my time over there. It's a little slower paced and i just have more bike projects than cars right now. These are the only 2 boards that i read on a daily basis. Thanks Ryan, Gregg

    about 4 hours every day

  29. I usually read in the morning after putting my kids on the bus. Then when I come home for lunch I check in again.....and when I get home from work I catch up on what I missed. Oh yeah....sometimes I follow up the post-bed time routine with a cold beverage and the HAMB. Shit.....guess I'm hooked too:D

Hour & a half a day average, just hit the highlights, in the morning while I eat breakfast, then after I come in at night. When I miss a couple of days 3-4 hrs, usuall late @ night, I have to at least look @ every title, 'fraid I might miss something.:D When I first got on board 30 minutes you could read everything.
