Ok so I found this place while looking for some pinstiping information. What an inspiring place to research art styles. Thanks. My 51 Merc woodie has been sitting for a long time, but a recent trip to the Primer Nationals in Ventura has got me thinking of hauling it out into the sun and installing those carb and water pump kits I bought so long ago. I hope to be on the road soon as I have found that there is a place for my type of car now. (no billet and chrome, shop bought rods) Again Thanks for this site and I hope to at least lurk around and learn. 51split
Welcome from another new guy. Saw the word Merc so I stopped to look. I love them cars.(and wagons) post a pic when you can. I'm gonna when i figure out how. Hugh
Hello thanks for the replys. I put the Merc in the garage several years ago. Pulled the chrome off so I could have it redone. and primered the car for repaint. My father, who was a woodworker hobbist was going to look at the wood on the outside of the car. But he never got around to it before he past away. I have checked out Wooden Car in So Cal for a wood kit but may have to hold off for a while. After seeing all the neat cars at the Primer Nats , however I feel I should just roll it the way it is. I will try to post pics soon. Thanks again.
