EVERYBODY it seems! I wish y'all would just stick with As, 32-34s but hey, that's my problem. ;)

Here's a concept that I had been kicking around and I finally put it to paper or in this case, photoshop. So what did I do? I took a '36 chevy 3 window coupe and grafted the body onto the '36 chassis. Not for the faint of heart, but it could be another option for the 3 window deprived out there and maybe a little easier than making your own 3 window from a 5 window Ford like Cole did. I have a stock height and a chopped top for comparison.

I've got the perfect donor if anyone wants to try it. I'm hoping to pick it up and turn it this spring.

Puts me to mind of... the same stance and look as Ryans 38.

Yeah that would work. The GM cars lack of the beltline in the back compared the Ford is pretty noticeable here. I'm sure you could make your own to make it a nicer design. How much will you ask for that Olds? Compare it to the insanely high $9100 for the last Ford 3 window body to sell on ebay last week and you can quickly see how this becomes a viable option.

Here's the real thing. My Dad's 3 window. I made him give back my wheels and tires, so he is having his own set painted and is getting ready to order some blackwall Firestones.

heres my 35 Olds a photoshop version of it. man i hated selling it.

  7. The Ford 36 3-window is my all time fav. Along with the 39-40 chopped mercs. Your dad's is how i'd want mine to be. It has the perfect chop IMO.

I'd let it go real cheap... like $8950...

    just kidding

I'm not sure how the hell I'm going to get it out of there, much less buy it. I will have to invest in a chainsaw before I move on it.

that olds looks really similar to the 35 3 window pontiac we have next to Dad's next project 35 ford 3 window. Our pontiac has suicide doors, though. The more i look at that pontiac, the more i think it needs a section job.

Yikes. Yet another project to add to the list of things I must try before I die. Love the idea of a "poor man's" '36, because by the time I get to it, I'll never be able to afford the real thing. Another Oldsmobile in my garage, but a 35/36? hmmmmm....

Django -- you are dangerous with Photoshop...

isn't the Olds and Pontiac the same body? For that matter, are the doors the same on a 36 3 window as a 5 window (GM). I don't know, I've never messed with them. If they are, you could just fill that back window cause they look like an afterthought anyway as opposed to the Fords.

You can do it Josh. Just dump that Fairlane. ;)

I guaruntee it's ten times easier in Photoshop than even making the first cut for real. ;)

I think you would almost certainly need a cowl from the donor 4 door that you are cutting up. :) If anybody has access to a GM coupe, we can compare cowl measurements.

Primevil36, let's see pics. Since Dad has a chopped one, I'd like to get an uncut one someday. But that's way down on the list and my cabriolet may end up depleting our 36 parts bin.

modifieddriver, you should post pics of yours. It's bitchin.

    Thanks MBTex.

As far as I know they made chevy 3 windows. If that is not true, then someone please say so.
