Did a little metal working today and whipped up this sorta Nicson styled carb scoop for a GM 1v carb. Not sure if I'm going to leave the bright aluminum finish as it is now or dull it some with a brushed technique...time will tell!

Just need to buy a small round filter and come up with a cool wingnut to keep it from blowing away!

More super low buck (about two dollars worth of metal!) speed parts for the V6 powered 49!

(Thanks go to Rocky for the mock-up carb, by the way!! [IMG])

Very nice! I think an acorn style chrome nut would look really cool and keep the overall sleekness intact. [IMG]

I saw a wingnut once that made me think it'd look pretty cool if you cut one of the "wings" off, filed the other wing into an actual wing-like shape (like the Harley logo or something), then positioned it forward-backwards on the top of the air cleaner.

One of these would look cool but you wouldn't believe how long it took me to get 'em. At this point I wouldn't even part with one. I'm hoping they end up holding on the air cleaners on a tri-power.

I agree. My friend has a CNC lathe and once the first one was made and the program stored he could make as many as you wanted. Let me know if you need more.

Oh, it wasn't the time to make them, it was the "shipping" that took so long. [IMG]
