pull the 6 outta my 52 chevy
it allready has a turbo 350 and i need to put a v8 in it, but a 50's v8, i know that i can get an adapterplate to fit anything to anything, so...
does anybody have a take out motor that is complete and runs well???
okay, NO buick motors... sorry buick guys, i don't like them.
    don't really want a y-block either...
    but!
    i'd prefer a good running olds v8
but i'll use just about any good pre 62 v8
    so
does anybody have a decent running one they would part with???
cheap is the key word here too...
okay, i'm really not cheap, i am just way over extended as it is...

Is it a BOP pattern T350 or a Chevy pattern?
You're planning on going with an adapter plate I guess?

If you want to get rid of that 216 adapter, let me know.

  8. If you use a bigger v/8, you'll fight that stock steering box. And you'll almost have to use a rear-sump oil pan to clear the equalizer thingee for the stock steering linkage. Maybe a Pontiac, Olds or caddy and don't be shy about moving the engine over an inch or 2 off center to the right side. You'll probably need to for steering box clearance.
Sorry, I'd go for a sbc. I did the same swap as you only with a 4 speed and the chevy V/8 is the way to go....how 'bout a DIFFERENT chevy v/8? Maybe a big block or a 348/409?

Theres no shame in putting a chevy in the chevy. The swap is pretty simple.
