Last time I flew out of OKC,they got the fine tooth comb out.
X-rayed my boots,metal detector across the soles of my feet,
full pat down,examined all my stuff.Even more thorough than in Newerk NJ a couple months after 9-11.

 

Probably cuz you had the aroma of laquer thinner and one-shot on ya and they thought it was explosives...

 

hows a bout rick knight in bricktown, does about every car in this town for yrs now.......

 

Trust me, everyone that flys who is not a crew member in uniform , disabled and can't remove his/her shoes. or one of the few on the list who don't get screened is supposed have to have their shoes/boots xrayed according to the regs.
As far as "additional screening". It may just have been your turn, or the airlines computer picked you.

I'd want to see examples of a stripers work before turning him loose on the truck. Most have a certain "style and don't usually get far from that style.
