any body from the tulsa area willing to help me out? i found a truck through a buddy of mine about 15 miles from tulsa, but have no way to get it down here. anybody wanting to help out, please lmk. it wouldnt be for about a month or so. pm me or email me at weldit@cox.net
BenD will be here in Mustang on Wednesday. That would mean he's coming through Tulsa that morning. He's cheaper than filling up your tank 2 times. See if he's got an empty trailer.
cool, i'll pm him. your from mustang, you might know the truck i have been eyeing for a while now. its over on 59 & 92. south of 59 on the east side of the road. its a rusted truck cab from the 40s, with broken windshield sitting on a bare frame with suspension and rear end laying to the side. out if front of that guys shop? everytime i go by there i wanna go talk to him about it. do you know if he is on here or have you ever talked to him? lmk
your kidding! i'll stop by sometime. gotta love it. curious rash, i think the guy said NW, but it coulda been NE. cant remember the name of the town, i will find out and post it here in a little bit.
ok the town is Hominy, NW of Tulsa, about 54 miles from you according to mapquest. lmk if you would be able to and how far you would be able to get it.
thats awesome. cant believe how many people so close are on here. have any more projects in that garage/shop of yours? what do you plan to do with that 36? looks like it would be a fun project.
Oh, I can't move it at all. BenD is your best bet, as mentioned. I would be more than happy to meet Ben and help him load it or whatever though. My poor truck barely gets me to work and back and it doesn't need to jump through any hoops right now.
Hominy is a fair ways from me but not bad. My clubmate Phil has a shop in Cleveland and he has a friend with a rollback that may be able to haul it. He's pretty cheap. I can ask Phil if you like.
ooo i see. well if you want to help, i could use some eyes. the guy doesnt have any pics and i've been trying to get some for some while now. the truck is a 76 chevy 1/2 swb and i want the front clip to convert my 86 to the earlier front end. he says its in real nice shape, but i want to be sure. lmk if you would be able, and a price. thanks
My wife has dibs on the 36. I have a couple of 36's in my family so she wants one now. It's still a couple of years before I can even think about it.
You can rent a trailer from Swinford Trailer in Morrison, OK, pick it up, drop off the truck, then drop off the trailer, all for about the price of a tank of gas each way. Couldnt be more then a couple hundred for the gas and trailer, and one whole day. If you can figure out how to make it fit in an Explorer, I go to Tulsa about every 3 months or so and just drove through there tonight on way back from Little Rock.
