Sunday Sept. 9, 2012, For all you NorthEast Nostolgic dragracers. East Coast Rod and Custom is having it's "Ol Daze Drags & Car Show at Island Dragway (AKA The PATCH) in Great Meadows,NJ. It is open to all cars and trucks 1978 and older. YOU MUST PASS TECH INSPECTION TO RACE ! N.E.T.O. will be there with at least 40 of the clubs cars, all of the local nostolgic racers and show cars. If you are bringing a show car please get there early, we have a limited area for the show cars and it fills up pretty fast. The gates open at 8:30 AM Sunday morn. time trials @ 10:00 AM, eliminations start at 2:00 PM, 4 classes of racers. 9.99 et and quicker w/electronics, 10.00 - 11.99 no electronics, 12.00 - 13.99 no electronics, and 14.00 and slower no electronics. Trans brakes are ok to use. PLEASE NO JR. DRAGSTERS, IT TAKES TOO LONG TO RESET THE TRACK FOR 1/8 MILE. THIS DAY IS FOR THE NOSTOLGIC RACECARS, TRUCK, AND SHOW CARS.
I would like to thank everone that came out to Island Dragway on Sunday for "Ol' Daze Drags" and congratulations to all of the class winners and carshow winners. Nice day, nice event What a parade of cars coming into the lanes for the first time shots Awesome. I was able to make it into the finals in N-4 with my OT car. Pulled a -.024 redlight in the final.
