  1. What the heck? Are these magazines gold or something. I've noticed lately that people are asking an amazing amount of money for these things. Am I out of the loop here?

The price of conforming is THROUGH THE ROOF!!! If you didn't buy in early you have to pay DEARLY for it now! Remember- not EVERYONE has been greasing their hair and cuffing their pants WAYYYY back to 2003!

One day they will be worth as much as first editions of Poe's work, they are that brilliant.

It's the same answer to "what is anything worth?"

It's worth exactly what someone will pay for it. If a dude can get $20. a pop for such literary masterpieces then he might as well go for it before the buyer sobers up.

C'mon it's simple supply and demand. Those first few issues were so terrible everyone threw them out.

This guy is thrilled that he was able to buy the first issue at newsstand price.

He now has them under 24 hour guard which includes a time lock safe and Fluffy the attack dog.

One day all you superior acting people will understand the subtle irony and humor within the pages of OSR and HRD, and we, the underground greaser intelligensia, will have the last laugh.

  20. That's funny, I do have 3 or 4 of them in the stack of magazines in next to the john, with the TP set on top because the roll's too big for the holder. I'd have to be pretty damn plastered to mix the two up, though.

I picked up the first edition before a trip to Vegas a couple of years ago. Read it out there and back. Inspired me to build a truck that they WOULDN'T feature.

Hey Ryan- since I have no internal meter- have I made an ass out of myself yet? ;) Thanks, Jim

I know- stupid question. Best guess would be sometime around 1999- and repeatedly thereafter!
