Technical Old aftermarket hubcaps

I picked up four of these old aftermarket replacement hub caps and trying to figure out what they are a copy of,looks like a early 40 Chevy to me and plan on putting them on my 37 Chevy pickup after they get some good chrome on them.

Going to call the Wheel smith and see if they can modify them to fit the rims I bought from them as I am going to use them.

 

Those will raise some eyebrows at the car show. I like 'em.

 

I have been looking for a set for years,I do have one for a 37 Chevy but its a rusty mess.

The aftermarket caps, that tried to avoid paying fees, w/some imprinting/logos, are some of the more interesting & imaginative ones. Good humor, wish there were more. .

There were some "Bool" or ''Fool'' caps made for Fords.

 

here's a set for a 1949 - 1950 Chevrolet p***enger car. originals have a bowtie

 

1940 Ford Deluxe ...

 

A set of those would be cool.
