building 29 model a tudor sedan wanted to use the old aluminum slot rims. I had them on my vans in the early 70s and would like to have them again. can they be used with front disc. brakes. I know about all the bull shit with they did not have disc back when. but I now than grand babies that will ride along with grandpa. the old slot are getting hard to find in 15". thanks for any help it is better to ask first than to buy first. The early ones might not clear disk brakes, but most do. Look for the recess on the back that will clear the caliper.
I run them on my dads 30 coupe it has disk brake on it no probems at all 15x4.5 on front and 15x8 on the back.....
I bought 4 - 15 X 7's last year new manufacture, that were cast in my 5 on 5 bolt pattern ( had no interest in "uni lug", that I ran on my Nash for 1 year... kept the original drum brakes, but yes they are easy to get in 15 X 7's other sizes can be pretty expensive...
