Don't forget the Teague/Sadd/Bentley #76 B-ville roadster. They tried turbos for a while.

Here's a few...only the twin Magnussen 4-71 blower, the Latham supercharged y-block, and Turbonique 1000HP drag axle were mine, the others are pictures I've stolen and can't remember where to give credit too.
John, how about some pix of your Oberhausen?

  15. One day when we didnt have enuf to do this happened. We bought a magneson blower from the surplus shop next door, took a vega timing belt set up and a chunk of aluminum and a 500 Holley and this popped out. Jeff Nellis from Napanee (an old friend) owned the car. It ran mid 15s and would woop the V8 Vegas street machines of the day.

PS this may have been long before magneson thought of selling blowers to the hot rod industry. I often wondered about that. It was 1976.
Jeff had only a couple of hundred dollars in the whole project. Hard to go wrong with that. I wonder where it is now. It would be fun to resurect it, put a bit of spit and polish on it and update it a bit. Probably 12 or even 11s would be possible with a serious effort. Oc***ionally we would lose the belt but it worked well enuf to run in a regular basis without problems.
It wasnt the main focus of the day as we were heavy into maintaining a fleet of 440 powered drag car engines we ran. Jeff was a Chrylser Mechanic who went fixing copiers for more money and less dirt. So i didnt have to hold his hand . He was quite capable. Car was a 1600 cc hemi
