History Old Canadian Hot Rod

    Last weekend I was tidying up at home and came across this picture that was given to me by an ol fella many years ago. He has long since passed and I first saw him at a local garage when I was fueling up my roadster.
    Turns out that he was stationed in America and Canada from 1946 with the New Zealand Army. Never realized it but he had written on the back of the photo as I had it in a frame, saying "I photographed this hot rod in 1947, about a month after the first hot rod show in the USA, the car was up for sale in Vancouver Canada. The young guy in the photo is my shadow" So I'm not sure if he meant that it was at that show?  Canadian hot rod.jpg Maybe someone may know the car. Sorry for the shitty pic. Cheers

    Windshield, rear fender wells, front treatment, door tops cut, bucket seats.
    Suspicious cowl/firewall ( later shape with battery ) and nifty paint,
