First it was the Black Harley shirts from the local dealer of every town I happened to ride through, (or was it rode through on purpose just to get the T shirt?)
Started out buying Mediums and ended up needing XLarge's.
Then I started running and collecting the 10K and Marathon race shirts. They were cool till they started costing a bunch extra over the entry fee and at the same time became billboards for a gazillion "sponsors" to the point you couldn't even tell which race they were for so I quit buying them. (Started buying them in XLarge and by the time I was getting the Marathon finisher shirts, was back to a Medium!) ;)
Then the "Cruise" shirts started. When I first got my truck on the road in '93 they were at their height I guess and I had drawers full of Neon multi colored "Turkey Trot" etc. shirts, (starting with Mediums and progressing back to XLarge...) :(
The Harley shirts go worn and worn out while building the truck and turned into rags long ago and the same for the 10K shirts but the Marathon finisher shirts are in the bottom of a drawer somewhere since I can't get into a Medium any more so I can't get oil spots on and welding spatter holes in them.
Most of the "cruise" shirts have met the same fate, except for a few recent Road Kings Picnic Shirts, an "Artist at Large" shirt from Dennis, and my one "Late Great Chevys" ***ociation/club shirt.
Right now as I type this I'm wearing a shirt I bought from a student at El Camino College (when I worked there with IgoPogo) that has the revolutionary era "DON'T TREAD ON ME" flag printed on it.
It was on top of the stack when I got dressed...
It's got oil spots on it too and a hole starting in the arm pit.

    EVERYTHING isn't ****ing "collectible"!
It's got to the point where the "periferables" of hobbies have become more important than the subject of the hobby.
I heard about someone who traded an Indian motorcycle for an advertising poster of the same motorcycle!
I don't know exactly when that started, I think it was shortly after "American Grafitti" came out and nostalgia became mainstream, but it's got to the point when "stuff" has "collectible" stamped on the packaging, IT AIN'T!
