Hey, I just found this website and it looks like there are lots of people here who are as car-addicted as I am. I live in Nevada now, but I grew up in the car culture of California. Had to move to Nevada to be able to afford enough room for my growing collection of rusty hulks. Unfortunately, I never learned to finish one project before starting another one, so here is a list of what I'm currently working on: 1) I have the engine out of my '55 Bel Air to clean up the engine bay and fit the 265 with an Offy intake and 3 Rochesters. It's all painted up and ready to go back in as soon as I get the crud scraped off of the frame & firewall. Got a 4-speed Muncie to replace the original 3-speed this time. 2) The drive train is all rebuilt in my '69 Lincoln Mark III and the body is stripped for paint. Shaved the door handles & emblems, but still need to finish up some body work before the paint can go on. 3) The '67 Camaro RS is driveable, but I want to replace the carpet & interior and the heater core started leaking and the it's gonna need paint one of these days -- still looks okay from 20 feet away. It's always something... 4) A couple of years ago I bought a '58 Chevy truck on a '72 Blazer chassis that was somebody's project. The more I drove it the more I saw how everything had been done half-assed, so I couldn't stand it and took it all apart. So far the firewall is replaced and I'm remounting the steering column, but at this point I guess I might as well lift the body off the frame & do it right. If I ever finish any of these projects I'm gonna find a Model A coupe or roadster to build. Anyway, I am enjoying reading about everybody's projects & it inspires me to get to work on my own. Keep on postin'... --- Lloyd
Hi, Gracie... I'm halfway between Carson City & Reno, which is a long way from Vegas, but what the hell, at least we're in the same state, right?
